A.K.A How to communicate a product line that little bit better than your standard one

The Finnish kitchen and garden tool brand Fiskars has had a successful line of knives and other cooking utensils called Fiskars Functional Form for many years. They are known for their great price vs. quality ratio and play an important part in Finnish cooking.

When Fiskars decided to launch an upgraded line – the Functional Form+ – to complement the existing one, we rolled up our sleeves and put together a communication concept emphasising the "little extra +" that a true cooking enthusiast appreciates.

Imagery and a bunch of visual assets were created to stand out in-store as something that little bit better – without coming across as a luxury product. We aimed for a feeling of high quality yet were careful not to make the visual unrecognisable as a part of the Functional Form family.
